A by-election was held for the Cowdenbeath constituency of the Scottish Parliament on 23 January 2014 following the death of Labour MSP Helen Eadie.

Not to be confused with the local by-election in the Cowdenbeath ward, held on 22 May 2014.

Alex Rowley held the seat for Labour.
