Labour gain from Conservative

A by-election was held for the Fortissat ward of North Lanarkshire Council on 7 September 2017 following the refusal of Conservative Cllr-elect Sandy Thornton to sign his declaration of acceptance of office.

Clare Quigley gained the seat for Labour.
